Overview

L’Ange Noir by Givenchy is a Amber Floral fragrance for women.L’Ange Noirwas launched in 2016. Top notes are Almond, Pink Pepper and Bergamot; middle notes are White Iris and Sesame; base notes are Tonka Bean, Ambrette (Musk Mallow) and Amber.Givenchy presents L’Ange Noir, the new “black angel” fragrance that follows the line of Ange ou Demon from 2006 and Ange Ou Demon Le Secret from 2009. L’Ange Noir comes out in fall 2016, representing irresistible mystery and the ultimate paradox: “Radiant as an angel, elusive as the darkness.” L’Ange Noir, inspired by the style of crime cinema that is film noir, is the seductive potion of a femme fatale, described as elegant, unique, audacious and desirable.“Each woman is an enigma, playing with her power of seduction. The evidence? … her fragrance. Between shadow and light, a unique trail that fascinates by the contrasting encounter of white iris and black sesame encapsulated in a precious glittered bottle… L’Ange Noir, or the spellbinding story of a fragrance with a soul apart. Darkness and light...”The composition is a powdery floriental combination of light and dark notes. It opens with a blend of bergamot, pink pepper and fresh almond. The mild powdery character of pure white iris, one of the noblest of flowers, is mixed with slightly salty black sesame in the heart. The base finishes up with warm tones of tonka bean, ambrette seeds and amber. The face of the campaign is French actress and model Aymeline Valade. The shape of the bottle is identical to the Ange ou Demon Le Parfum edition from 2015. It is covered with black sparkled lacquer. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Buying advice in plain language

If you are deciding on L’Ange Noir, start with wear context instead of hype. Ask where you will use it most: office, casual daytime, or evening social settings. That single choice filters almost every buying decision because freshness, sweetness, and projection read very differently depending on environment.

Then use this page in three steps. First, scan the notes and accord profile to understand the scent direction. Second, check longevity and projection hints to estimate how it may behave on your skin. Third, open one or two comparisons to see trade-offs against similar perfumes. This avoids buying a fragrance that is good in isolation but wrong for your routine.

A practical shortlist is one signature scent plus one contrast option from the same brand family. That gives flexibility without over-collecting. If L’Ange Noir fits your use case, sample first and compare it with one related option below before committing to a full bottle.
