The fragrance is named after the ancient Ethiopian city of Harar, the fourth most important city of Islam, and the center of the spice, tobacco, and coffee trades. The advertisement posters often contain a cigarette or a pipe — the flappers made smoking fashionable back in the 1920s, and theTabacco D'Hararscent blends well with tobacco smoke.
